Brand identity for sustainable fashion retail …

Retail brand identity design

Brand identity and retail design for Cowgirl in Couture, in Mill Street, Oakham.

I developed the brand identity, with the shop owner. And then designed signage, and built the website in Wix. Finally going on to photograph the product range.

Pre-loved fashion is sustainable and an important part of reducing your carbon footprint. I have always bought clothes with care. I also lived in France for 5 years, so treating fashion with respect has always been part of my ethos.

The main typeface used on the brand identity design is Copperplate Gothic. Copperplate Gothic was designed by Frederic W Goudy. Goudy was an American typeface designer from the early 1900’s. Copperplate Gothic is a typeface design classic. The typeface works well on the signage design, as it contrasts well with the stone work of the building, yet has a similar classical feeling to it.

A brand palette for the brand identity design was created and used throughout. We matched the paint colour for the shop windowsills to the brand palette, giving the brand identity a cohesive look.
