Estimates range from 4000 ads to a million images upwards. Snapchat users shared 8,796 photos every second whilst in Facebook 250 million photos per day are uploaded. That’s a lot of advertising and spinning cats. How can our poor minds take all this in?
The brain analyses an image 73 times faster than the written word, which means that if your visual content doesn’t engage your reader it is possible they will not stop to read your written content. The problem is no longer just getting audience to read your marketing, it is getting them to notice your content amongst all the other content/marketing that they are engaging with at the same time. The fact that we are now drowning in advertising visuals means that your advertising visuals need to look different to the competition.
